Weekly Challenges

Weekly challenges are just that, weekly tasks you set for self to overcome mental and physical barriers. The challenges are supposed to be fun and spontaneous in a setting where you put your whole heart into it. It's not something you have to stick with if you don't like it, and thats why it's only a week. I choose to set my weekly challenges around the themes of health, wealth, intelligence, and betterment. You, however, can decide to use me   as a guideline or participate in your own program.

Monthly Challenges

Monthly Challenges are more difficult challenges that test the body and mind. A challenge performed at the end of the month to bring the month to a close and to start a new one on a positive note. They represent a stepping stone for growth and to show you have completed all your weekly challenges for the month. I choose to do more physical tasks for these 12 and for those physical limits to be reached in order to push my mental limits in the process.

Misogi Challenges

A misogi challenge is a once a year challenge. An extremely difficult challenge which completely pushes your body and mind to its limits. This is where you find out who you are and what you choose to fight for. There is little preparation before the day(s) of the challenge because the point of it is not to train for it, rather to endure it. To take on the unexpected and deliver. I choose to perform the challenge on my birthday. I choose my birthday because I don't want each year to be a drunken party that I will or will not remember. I want my birthday to be a showcase of my accomplishs and me being able to reach new limits. In this yearly challenge, be creative, make it painful, and be honest with yourself.

my story

For my new year's resolution, I decided to challenge myself with something new. My problem was I couldn't decide on one challenge. I thought how boring to just do one new thing this year. I also thought a year is a really long time to keep something going, what are the odds I like what I decide to do for a year? How daunting. But I figured I could do a week. 7 days of consistent effort to accomplish a small task; one that hopefully, would lead to a bigger future. How hard could that be? It ended up being the best of both worlds because I allowed myself to try something new each week and I don't have to keep it up if I don't like it. So I get to try 52 things this year and better myself in the process.
