YEARLY CHALLENGE: I had explained at the beginning of the year that I wanted to accomplish my once a year challenge on or near my birthday. I wanted it to be extremely challenging and push my mind and body to it's limits and push past them. Unfortunately, I had an injury a few days before the planned weekend. That's alright, we're all learning and adapting to our environment. Because of this circumstance, I'm going to move the yearly challenge to end the year. To finish off this year with a bang and full limit exhaustion during the end of December. It will close out the year on (hopefully) a fantastic note to propel us into 2019.
When negatively happens in our life, take the positive out of any situation. Adapt to your new environment and find ways that this (in this case, injury) can be beneficial to you. How can it help you? What will be different in your life that this situation has now caused. Whatever the details may be, change your mind to the positive. Learn how you can better yourself in a way you might have never thought of before. They can always be growth. You just might have to look elsewhere. When this injury happened, I had time to reflect on the 5 W's of the situation. One thing I noticed during this reflection was I tend to have injuries before a major test, event, trip, etc. in my life. This may be a coincidence; fact is, it doesn't matter. Whatever it is, it hasn't stopped me. Let that lead your life. Whatever life hits you with, go around it, go over it, go through it. Be you.
