As summer is coming to a close, let's look back on what this awesome month has put us through. August has given us the chance to finish a nasal day breath challenge, we fasted our bodies for a certain duration of time, we cleaned our kitchens and decluttered our lives a bit, we knocked out a total of 600 burpees in a week, and we stopped a terrible habit of texting and driving. That's a ton of stuff for just one month. So please give yours a good ole 'fuck ya.' I try to incorporate a balance of challenges throughout the month and feel this month knocks that out of the park. During the summer months, we find ourselves playing more than usual in the sun and really try to get outside for some beach activities or head into the mountains for the annual family vacation. And now we have added our challenges to the list? But still were able to live our normal lives? And still found time to make a living? We are really killing it everyone. Congratulations. These monthly reflections are a way for us to look back at our progress and to analyze what each challenge has given us a little more. Maybe incorporate some into our morning routines, or add them to a lives in some way. So look at what you enjoyed, didn't enjoy, could improve on, and the like to really make a difference in your life for the better. Because ultimately, it's all about you and evolving into a better self, however you deem fit. There are some important things in this world (I'll let you be the judge of what you think of first), but always remember to take care of yourself. That's our goal here.
August was awesome. I personally liked the nasal breathing the best and felt I have really taken that with me throughout the month. I find myself noticed when I breath the month and instantly try to correct it. What a great tool for the tool box. Additionally, I liked the burpees, maybe just because I'm a nut though. So you don't have to like those haha. The texting and driving challenge really got me to amplify my awareness on my bad habit and plan to make steps to eliminate that one from my life. It's these little things that slower start to make changes for the better. Always remember your lesson on how to eat an elephant.
