Drink a gallon of water each day. 72% of our bodies are made of water. So let's help our bodies out this week. Each day we're going to be fully hydrated and carry around with us our bottle, jug, flask, whatever to get your fix. I've heard a couple of theory's about how drinking this much water can help or hurt you; depending on what article you read. So we'll call this our own experimental period. I want to hear how peoples bodies are affected and give your feedback.
My first assumption with this week will be the ever reoccurring visits to the bathroom. I think we will have more energy, and maybe a clear mental state, but I might be over reaching on that one. But I guess I will have to wait and see. Have a great week everyone!

Thanks for the response! I like your mindset of not forcing too much but having the self awareness of what the proper amount of water gave you!
This challenge was definitely a challenge! I started off strong at the beginning of the week and got just shy of one gallon. The rest of the week was pretty similar, so no, I did not reach the gallon a day. However, I do not think this a bad thing. I felt I consumed a sufficient amount of water for my body size and height throughout the week. Any more water would have felt forced, and too much water is not a good thing. I enjoyed this challenge because it helped me ensure I was properly hydrated. I will be sure to continue to consume the proper amount of water! Thanks, Keaton! Looking forward to future challenges.
REFLECTION: Drinking a gallon a day really has to make you pee. I think I went to the bathroom at least every two hours. Always clear. But besides that, it was a great and fulfilling week. My week's weapon was my reliable Hydroflask which is one liter. I would carry it around everywhere I went and would make sure to drink four bottles worth to reach my gallon. It wasn't extremely difficult, I honestly thought it would be harder to get down a gallon. Some days I drank more with some tea, juice or nightcap milk, but I made sure to always hit a gallon. One thing I did notice though was today. Today I felt dehydrated. Being Sunday, I wasn’t adamant about drinking a gallon and I was tired, felt groggy and dehydrated. I was constantly thirsty and didn't have the energy of last week. My energy levels aren't attributed to one factor, but there might be a correlation. I did travel all day yesterday back to the states, went through a seven hour time difference and came back to reality, but I still think my water intake had something to do with it. I can take two things away from this. One, it's possible I became reliant on such a high intake of water each day and my body liked running that way. And Two, I feel my body doesn't change that much as it is (I don't see effects easily when I experiment) so the fact I felt one this time tells me water truly is important to your overall well-being. Now we know this, we have been told this our whole lives. But who honestly drinks that much water on a daily basis? Probably nobody. I think the recommended intake is about half a gallon, or two liters a day, but its amazing just what water can do for us and our health. Did anyone experience anything similar? Or completely different?
Drink up!
