We're running. This week we're going to run for a total of 20 miles. If you're bad a math, that's just over 3 miles a day if you run all 6 days (Monday-Saturday) Pretty easy right? Hopefully. But its gets you outside and running. Its gets the wind, rain, sun, fog, heat, cold in your face and your body moving. Try to focus on being outside no matter the temperature. You can of course do it on the treadmill but outside is definitely preferred. It gets the body feeling better, one with the elements and gets you outside and off your ass. If you can't do 3 miles, shorten it to where is needed. Don't crush yourself and get stress factures, that doesn't help anyone. Length it if need be. I know people running 100 mile weeks, so do what your skill and conditioning level permits. But do it outside. That’s the goal. Let your body adapt to the elements. Learn the streets around you. Deal with people on the sidewalk. Crush some soft sand runs, trail runs, and mountain runs. And just keep running. Have a blast and hit your mark!

REFLECTION: Were you able to run everyday or get outside to experience what mother nature can offer you? If so, it was a successful week. Congratulations. My week started off on a rough start. I worked 16 hours on Monday and running was the last thing on my mind. I ran 1/4 of a mile. How pathetic. My original breakdown of the week was a simple 3 miles a day, but of course this was no screwed up and pushed my minimum to 4 miles a day. Tuesday, thankfully, was a different story. I was able to get 4 miles in. Some on some trails back behind my current working environment and some on the track for some sprints. Wednesday I did 4 miles as well with a mix of a Crossfit track workout and a 3 mile outside run along the Florida coast. Thursday I did 4 miles on the treadmill after a long day at work but my view of the ocean out the window helped my mindset finish strong at a 8 mile pace. Friday I did a soft sand beach run which was much more difficult than I remember and only did a 2 miler. That was ok for me though because I knew I wanted to get a longer run in for the week. I had 6 miles to hit the target of 20 miles. On Saturday I did my 6 miler. I did however do it on the treadmill at the hotel. It wasn't my best option obviously, but I knew that I could keep my pace solid and still check out the ocean views. So ultimately, I was okay with it. I kept a pace slightly over 8 min miles and felt really good. I also experimented with my breathing. I only breathed through my nose. It was a little difficult but I do think the benefits showed. My legs weren't tired at all and my body felt loose and fresh. I liked it. Afterwards, my inner nostrils felt burnt as though I over worked them. It was a little painful actually haha. So I hit my 20 and hope you did too. My body feels good even though I was forced to do two a days, running complimented with lifting and circuits. My buddy Temple is a great workout buddy who works hard and is by far a faster runner than I. He nearly killed me on Wednesday. Great week
