This week is sobriety week. That means everything. Give your body a break. If that means alcohol, such as myself, then cut it out this week. Even those midweek wine glasses or beers with the game. If you prefer a drug, cut it out this week. Convince yourself, you're not addicted and prove it. It will be good for the mind and body. This week, is sort of a cleanse. Cleanse the body from anything you don't need when it comes to substances. Everybody needs one, so here's your opportunity. This is by no means telling you these things are bad for you, you do you when it comes to this stuff. However, I'm not advocating it's good either. We just want to make sure we're not relying on anything to live our lives, not hurting ourselves unknowingly, or worse killing our body from the inside out. This week will hopefully help you be more aware of your body in a clear state of mind. I expect my body to react positively, even though I don't claim to be addicted to alcohol. But cutting it will make sure I'm correct in my hypothesis. Good luck. I hope you enjoy this one, I hope you can see things from a different point of view. What do you hope to gain from this week? What excites you about this? What makes you uncomfortable?

REFLECTION: So it's Sunday and I feel fantastic. I woke up early, completed my morning routine, worked out in the recently new garage gym, made some tea, and am crushing my weekly post (maybe? You tell me) Point is, I'm not hungover. Nor was I hung over yesterday morning. Yesterday morning was quite fantastic as well. Morning routine, into checked out a potential rental investment, then grabbed some bomb breakfast with a couple of my good friends at this low-key shack serving breakfast sandwiches. (I'll continue this reverse order to completely confuse you) On Friday night, we hosted a Game Night with 8 friends where we didn't spend any money at the bar, I stayed sober, they enjoyed themselves with some wine and beer, and we played Settlements of Catan, Deception, Trivial Pursuit, and Goat Lords. It was a fantastic weekend. Furthermore, the week held an adventurous week filled with cleaning out a property and renting it out. All is well in the alcohol free world.
Coming back to the point of this week other than feeling great physically and mentally, alcohol is a poison. It's hard to argue otherwise. Nonetheless, it’s a vice for many people, including myself, when we hit the bars, or really in any social environment. It's loose, fun, and makes people seem more fun.. (oops) However, we can do all those things if we so desire without the consumption. It's nice to reflect on yourself and see how you are in those environments sometimes without the booze. I think this week was extremely beneficial in it's goal and would gladly do it again. Or continue to do it through November. You should too??
